Who Are Trippee.co.uk®?

Trippee.co.uk® is a standalone organisation that assesses a huge number of hypothetical, global holiday, vacation, and travel options for anybody looking to be given support, guidance or advice on where they might next look to book a trip abroad. It was founded in 2021 due to the travel industry continually requesting holiday makers begin their holiday booking process by selecting their destination of choice… something not everyone knows or can be assured of making the right decision on. It is not owned, managed, or governed by any other organisation or individual, and its decisions, actions, and information provided are purely those of Trippee.co.uk® and its employees.

How Do / Don’t, We Work?

The information collected, provided and presented to you, as users, by Trippee.co.uk® is done so after extensive research, insight, knowledge and experiences of those employed by Trippee.co.uk®. The recommendations made are done so from painstakingly consideration of a significant number of options available to each user when they are contemplating their next overseas vacation or holiday, and then applying those selected criteria to a database of information collated by Trippee.co.uk® and no other organisation or individual.

Users will be asked a series of questions, each will be dependent on the answer given to the previous one(s) and will ultimately result in Trippee.co.uk® making recommendations to users on travel options, destinations and location which might be suitable for their needs and interests. No personally identifying information will ever be collected to provide the user with these outcomes or recommendations!

Under no circumstances will Trippee.co.uk® be influenced, prejudiced, or persuaded to change the way in which we operate, suggest, or recommend locations, or provide information in relation to any location by a third party, without significant or substantial, non-financial motivation to do so. We will not, under any circumstance be open to bribery, or any form of financial reward, gifting, or enhancement, to manipulate the way in which we provide information and make recommendations to the user. Any changes we make to our recommendations will be done with integrity and full consideration of the facts that may, or may not, be presented to us.

An example of external influencing might be that a certain destination we have previous recommended has recently been subject to extensive political unrest, severe weather impacts which has devastated local infrastructure, or has simply been subject to a fundamental shift in its ability to provide a safe, clean, and friendly atmosphere to holidaymakers. If this information is brought to the attention of Trippee.co.uk® by an external party, its validity will be checked, and we will take the necessary steps to remove such locations from our recommendations. Alternatively, places which have undergone a huge uplift in infrastructural capability and are now genuine holiday considerations, can also be suggested to us by external parties. Again, this information will be verified by Trippee.co.uk® staff and if validated, become a location we may choose to recommend.

What Information Do We Collect / Retain?

At present, Trippee.co.uk® does not collect information about you as an identifiable individual (i.e. name, address, e-mail address etc.). Should this change, we will ensure our website and communications clearly inform you (our user) of this at the earliest opportunity, but at present, there is no desire, nor intent, to collect or collate this.

The information we do collect about you, will be your usage of the website and any subsequent external links you opt to select as part of your site usage and experience. This enables us to clearly track location popularity and the level of success in the recommendations we’re making to our users and their aspiration to seek further information on holiday prices and options with external partners. For example, if we continually recommend a specific location which is never “acted on” by the user, it will inform us that we need to reconsider whether this is an appropriate place to suggest moving forward. It will also help us narrow geographical fields and shifts in holiday habits, critical information that will help us work more diligently in providing greater detail, depth and coverage of the areas you, the user, are telling us you’re interested in.

What Do We Do with Your Information?

First and foremost, we do not, and NEVER will, pass your information on to any other individual, organisation, group, or company, be it for any charge, financial gain, or benefit, or for any free or non-revenue generating purpose.

Trippee.co.uk® works by providing users with question-based answers to potential holiday destinations worldwide. We then give you direct links to 3rd party providers, companies and organisations who provide holidays and vacations to the places that are returned from the answers you give to the questions asked. Once you click on links to external providers’ websites and while using their sites, you will not be subject to Trippee.co.uk® terms and conditions and will have to familiarise yourself with the relevant material on each of the sites you connect to.

The external links we provide, will be robustly checked, and verified, and we will ensure they connect only to genuine, verifiable and legal groups, companies or organisations based in the UK, who offer legitimate holiday and travel options for UK travellers.

Where (for example an African safari) an operator may only have a website external to the UK, we will notify the user when they connect that this company or organisation are not based in the UK, and it will be the user’s responsibility to satisfy themselves as to the efficacy of the website they are visiting. We will of course make sure we only provide links to organisations we believe operate legitimately, but external to the UK, this is more difficult to achieve.

For Trippee.co.uk® to generate an income, we must be able to robustly confirm the volume of people knowingly and consensually accessing each external site over any given period of time, after having answered the relevant questions on the Trippee.co.uk® website.

Your information will be used to confirm this. This information will not contain any personal data whatsoever as we will never ask for this, nor collect it in any way, however, it will potentially contain IP addresses for Trippee.co.uk® to track and understand more about it’s user base, such as the number of times an IP address might use Trippee.co.uk®, what destinations their questions return and whether they have then accessed 3rd party websites via Trippee.co.uk®. We will also never ask the owners of external websites to provide us with personally identifying information (i.e., name, address, date of birth etc.) about you.
