A Brief Summary
A small island off the east coast of mainland Tanzania, Zanzibar conjurs images of palm trees, white sands, fishing boats and not a lot else. For the most part, this is true and if you’re after a romantic, or quiet getaway, perhaps with the option to add on a safari in Tanzania or nearby Kenya, then this could be the place for you. With October being the sunniest month of the year here, this would be a really good time to take things slowly in this part of the world

About the Weather
The eastern coast of Tanzania has a hot, humid, and sunny climate, with the dry season running from Jun to Sep and the rainy season covering the remainder of the year, peaking in Apr. This is also the only month of the year that averages less than 7 hours sunshine a day, which increases to 9 hours a day from Aug to early Nov. Rain does occur in the dry season, but only a few times a month, seldom lasting long. Temperatures above 33°c by day and below 17°c at night are very unusual. Winds here are also frequently quite strong, moderating the heat and humidity nicely
