How about a trip to Namibia / Botswana
A Brief Summary
If you’ve ever fancied staying in wonderful lodges or luxury safari huts, seeing elephants, leapoards, rhinos, cheetahs, giraffe, zebra or hippo in their natural environment, under crystal clear blue skies, with abundant warm sunshine… Namibia and Botswana in August is almost unbeatable. Never too hot, averaging 24-26°C by day, with cool nights, and in the middle of the dry season when watering holes begin to shrink, spotting these magnificent creatures becomes just a little easier, but still a rare and magnificent treat

About the Weather
Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, has one of the sunniest climates of any capital, anywhere in the world. Sunshine levels peak from June to August when clouds are very rare and humidity levels often drop below 10%. Temperatures during this time average just over 20°c, however nights can frequent drop below 0°c. During the summer months from November to March, the weather warms up with highs averaging 30°c, but temperatures of 40°c not uncommon. Rainfall is increased too, but comes in heavy, thundery showers and sunshine levels remain high, above 9 hours a day.
