How about a trip to Zambia

Zambia Jun

SummaryA Brief Summary

If you’ve never heard of Victoria Falls, then you either weren’t that bothered about Geography lessons at school, thought it was an amusing statement about your unstable friend Vicky, or you were too dedicated trying to work out if so-and-so fancied you this week. Whatever the reason, Victoria Falls aren’t just a piddly little waterfall you can stand under to wash your hair and get a quirky Instagram post from. They’re a little, erm, larger than that. In the rainy season they have a curtain of water cascading over the edge of a 100m drop and continuing for a mile into the steamy, misty distance, making a deafening noise that you can only imagine! Stand under that and flick your shampooed hair back!
Anyway, Zambia is more than a waterfall, even if it is insanely impressive to behold. This central southern African nation is often overlooked by holiday makers to the region in favour of South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania or Namibia (this region really is spoilt!) and its a genuine shame. The sheer number, size and variety of National Parks here is incredible, all with flora and fauna you’d pay far more to see in other aforementioned countries, and is the primary reason you really, really have to consider Zambia if you’re looking for a safari-based holiday.
