Very warm or hot weather is seen throughout the year in Vanuatu. No truly dry months are typical of its maritime tropical climate, heavily influenced by the surrounding South Pacific. The wetter months of the year are from Jan to Apr, however these are also the sunniest months, averaging 6.5hrs a day of sunshine. The cooler months of Jun to Sep, are predominantly overcast with light rain and night time temperatures dipping down to 15°c at times, while daytimes remain around 27°c. Jan and Feb are the warmest months with maximum and minimums of 31°c and 23°c respectively. It is also windy throughout the year, with cyclones occurring on an infrequent basis.
