How about a trip to United Arab Emirates
A Brief Summary
If you really want to enjoy a trip to the UAE, you’d do well to keep a little pocket money to one side. While it is entirely possible to spend a few days here on a budget and have a great time, the more money you don’t mind spending on hotels, bars, restaurants, boat trips, desert excursions and nights under the stars, the more fun you will have. After all, this is a country that has been built solely on the outlandish wealth of oil and this is evident just about everywhere you go!
If you are well-to-do and you think you’ll blend right in with the locals here… you won’t! They will think nothing of splurging more in a night than you earn in a year and they’ll do it every night! Don’t play a game you aren’t equipped to play, instead, come here thinking you’ll enjoy seeing the riches, the sights, the tastes and the sounds of this sometimes gawdy, often brash, but in places, highly charming country and you’ll have a much, much better time! Dubai is the centre of the tourism industry here and has grown beyond belief from a sleepy fishing village only 40 years ago, to a truly thriving city of abundance, skyscrapers which gleam in the perpetual sun, man-made islands which form the shape of the planet, hotels which have more stars than you ever thought necessary, cars which are worth more than the entire road on which you live, and a ski resort! Yes, in the desert!!
Abu Dhabi is not dissimilar to Dubai, but it is less favoured by tourists and a little more authentic, but nonetheless impressive!
99% of the UAE however is sand and desert, but that doesn’t mean the enjoyment stops at the outskirts of the cities.. in fact, quite the opposite! 4-wheel drive cars here are all the rage, which given the roads are flatter than a pancake and smoother than a botox’d forehead, does render them largely pointless… until you see what they do with them on the weekends in the massive dunes! Sandboarding and spending nights beneath the starry skies in luxury tents are also commonplace out here, by day or by night!
In summary, if you want it and can afford it, you can probably find it here, but if you’re the envious type who lusts after a bit more wealth in your own life, the UAE should be avoided at all costs!

About the Weather
Warm, mostly dry, sunny winters, are followed by hot sunny springs across the UAE. Summers here are very hot, totally dry and very sunny, although sandstorms can occur throughout the year, most commonly in summer. Autumn is hot and sunny with very little rain. What rains do occur here come in short, sharp showers, from Dec to Mar and can cause significant disruption given the lack of infrastructure put in place to deal with rain, however this happens 2-3 times a year at most.
