How about a trip to Thailand North
A Brief Summary
There’s a reason why most people who think of northern Thailand think of Chiang Mai. It is not only by far the largest town north of Bangkok, but it offers a vast abundance of experiences, sights, smells, sounds and excursion starting points. Be they the ancient ruins of past wealth within the area, the lush, verdant mountains for incredible trekking and hiking, the beautiful little hilltop villages, the huge array of temples and palaces found here, or the jungles and animal sanctuaries, home to elephants and tigers… but we ask you, please do your research before visiting these animals. Some are genuinely well looked after and cared for and probably have as good of a life as you or I… others are much, much less fortunate and in order for them to be placid and docile around humans go through a rather long and dreadful experience, one that no tourist should ever be supporting or funding!
