How about a trip to Portugal Madeira
A Brief Summary
If walking is something you struggle with, Madeira isn’t the place for you. There is very little flat terrain here, including in the capital, Funchal, perched on a hillside overlooking the mid-Atlantic, several hundred miles off the coast of Morocco. This is the island of eternal Spring, with cold or hot weather rare and therefore unsurprisingly has become a place of almost pilgrimage-like status for those in, or near, retirement. But, don’t let that put off the younger crowd, the Portuguese island has been working hard to attract a more youthful and active traveller, and is looking to its geography to do so. The enormous sea cliffs, whale watching excursions, epic hiking, fabulous food and otherwise rugged nature of this island is fast becoming appealing for a younger audience.
