How about a trip to Portugal Algarve

There isn’t much to be said for the far south of Portugal that isn’t widely known by the average European tourist. It is a land of sunshine, exquisite beaches, more golf courses than you could ever hope to play, (Vilamoura and Quinta do Lago being notable golf havens), and sleepy little towns set alongside true hustle and bustle Mediterranean resorts. If you want activities, there is cycling galore, walking, hiking, surfing, sailing, horse-riding, and all manner of other sports offered and available through hotels, including tennis, quad biking, catamaran sailing etc. etc.
If you want somewhere subdued and laid back, avoid Albufeira and Lagos as they’re genuinely busy but thriving resorts, instead head a little further afield to Sagres at the very foot of Europe, Armação de Pêra or Manta Rota for something more authentically Algarvian.
