How about a trip to Philippines Visayas
A Brief Summary
The Philippines has, in total, around 7,500 islands. The three largest are Palawan, Luzon and Mindanao, all of which make up their own regions with numerous additional small islands. Visayas is the exception, with a smaller number of moderately sized islands. This is an important factor in their appeal, because these islands in the heart of The Philippines, are an absolute magnet for diving, snorkelling, beach goers, or anyone who wants to spend a week or more in genuine picture-postcard surroundings. Some of the most beautiful beaches on earth are found here, with sands as white as snow and seas the colour of blue topaz, all shimmering under the tropical sun, with palms wafting in the breeze. One such location is that of Boracay, which I’m sure on Googling (other search engines are available!), you’ll see exactly what we’re referring to… This is a divers haven, with gin-clear, calm, warm seas and a fastidiously clean and therefore rich environment in which to submerse yourselves under the water. Malapascua is also well worth a look for the same reason!
Elsewhere in Visayas, you’ll find the Chocolate Hills of Bohol, wonderful whale watching in the Tanon Strait, and Cebu City, the largest city in the region with a rich colonial past, a bustling nightlife and buildings ranging from beautiful temples and churches, to modern malls and skyscrapers
