How about a trip to Philippines Luzon
A Brief Summary
When you think of the Philippines (if you do!), you’ll most likely think of Luzon, the largest island in this Southeast Asian country and it’s most populous. The capital, Manilla, is bonkers. Yes, it is congested, insanely busy and a thronging mass of people and cars, but it is also hugely enjoyable, vibrant, upbeat and probably just what you need after a long flight to wake you up! A city of well over 20 million people and the most densely populated city on earth, there is nothing you can’t find here, from incredible nightlife, to wonderful dining, superb entertainment, rich history and a hugely diverse culture. If you want to get away from the pleasing chaos, Luzon is not short of alternatives!
As a city alternative, try Baguio in the central highlands, a really popular getaway for locals due to its altitude and therefore cooler climate, surrounded by forests and mountains and an ideal spot to explore the island on foot, it’s a world away from Manilla in just about every respect. If you’re seeking more fun and entertainment of an outdoor nature, then Legazpi is the place to head.
Elsewhere on Luzon, incredible beaches, enormous rice terraces, incredible scenery for biking, hiking and riding through, all await you. The whole of the Philippines is stunning, but Luzon really does have it all if you’re pressed for time!

About the Weather
The most densely populated and northerly island group in the Philippines has a hot and humid climate throughout the year, but with marked local differences and variations. However, in all parts, 2 distinct seasons are present, with the period Jan to Apr being hot, dry and sunny, while May to Dec is hot, very humid, less sunny and very wet. Western and northern coasts see slightly less rainfall in all months, while southern and eastern coasts see huge totals during the wet season, with slightly less sunshine than elsewhere. Temperatures reliably reach 30°c all year, often climbing to 36°c in Apr, the sunniest month and nights are warm, often very warm (27°c) in Apr and May. From Jul to Nov typhoons frequently hit, or nearly hit, this region and are often severe, with huge rainfall totals causing landslides and flooding and severe winds, frequently devastating large areas.
