Winter in southern North Korea are cold, dry and sunny, with little rain or snow. Very cold weather can occur with temperatures below -20°c, but they are often much nearer -5°c. Spring is short and only really seen in Apr with showers and bright skies and temperatures of 18°c. May sees heavier rains, higher humidity, warmer weather (24°c) and sunny skies. Jun to Aug is hot and very humid with very heavy rains, but bright weather. Highs often exceed 30°c during these months. Autumn sees increasingly dry and cooler weather in the approach to winter which first takes hold in early Nov.
