How about a trip to Morocco West Coast
A Brief Summary
The western coast of Morocco has it’s beating heart in Agadir. Given the number of travellers here hail from Europe it can feel very European at times, which is no bad thing. The beaches are akin to, or perhaps better than, anything Spain or Portugal can offer, it is generally very clean and friendly, has perfect year-round weather, and yet still holds onto some of the old-school charm in parts with an old medina, narrow streets and vibrant markets. Golf here is becoming a huge deal, as are surfing holidays, but if you’re inclined to take it easy… then you can very easily do that too.
The other city in this neck of the woods is Essaouira (ess-why-ra… in case you were wondering how to pronounce 4 consecutive vowels!), a city with a nice mix of hippie and old town. Smaller than Agadir, and fast becoming a bit of a favourite with those wanting to up the adrenaline levels with it’s windy climate, surfing and windsurfing offerings!
