How about a trip to Morocco North Coast

Morocco North Coast Jun

SummaryA Brief Summary

Morocco’s north and northeast coast has a distinctly romantic sound to it, all the way from Tangier to Casablanca.  Both places conjure up images of romantic ideals and famous people sipping long drinks in the cool shade, being waited on by impeccably dressed and smartly spoken locals.  The vast majority of sights in this region are south from Tangier, towards Rabat and onto Casablanca.  There are some lovely beaches around Tetouan in the far north however which might draw you in to a town you’d otherwise likely ignore.  And that would be a shame as its low-key charm and small size make this a lovely little place to spend a few relaxed days off the well trodden tracks elsewhere.  Tangier is a busy and bustling port town with huge influxes of Spanish holiday makers only a handful of miles north.  It is hugely multi-cultural, has some wonderfully clean beaches, a rich history and a real sense of the exotic about it.
Further south is Morocco’s capital, Rabat.  Morocco can be a little bit manic at times, but Rabat, despite being its capital, remains a much more serene place, with the highly impressive Kasbah of the Oudaias and Old Medina to stroll around, before seeing some royal palaces and of course the lovely beach.
Casablanca, still further south, is more European in its feel and, being honest, is probably Morocco’s least enjoyable city.  It’s worth a day here to say you’ve been and while not dreadful by any stretch, there are numerous other places in this vibrant country of fabulous food, great hospitality and ancient history that are simply more worth your time.
