How about a trip to Mexico North Central

Larger than the UK, this is Mexico’s biggest Province, but with a population smaller than that of south London and after which an ironically tiny dog was named, you have Chihuahua.
As you might imagine with such a small population spread out across a large area, big city nightlife and urban sightseeing isn’t really the name of the game here, this is more about getting back to nature. And the nature here is splendid. Well, if you like rugged, varied terrain ranging from mountainous desert to verdant river gorges, canyons (including the spectacular Copper Canyon!) and cactus fields anyway. If you’re idea of nature is to walk for half an hour to a local pub and settle in the for the afternoon, there are better places, but if you’re the sort of person who needs a new pair of walking boots every year, loves to be on the back of a horse for a few days, or has more knowledge about mountain bike tyres than Halfords, this northern Mexican region, along with Durango and Coahuila, are well worth a look.
