How about a trip to Mauritius

Mauritius is one of those locations that instantly conjures up images of tranquillity, soft white sand beaches, palms, coconuts, posh hotels and warm seas. There’s a reason for that. That is exactly what you’ll find here! The island isn’t all about the luxury / honeymoon getaway though, it’s also a rugged island, with sugar plantations dotted throughout, a mountainous interior, with gorges and valleys, making for wonderful hiking, biking (2 and 4-wheel) and otherwise exploring.. as well as a similar amount of water-based activity to be had, from dolphin watching, to diving, to waterskiing and sport fishing in the Indian Ocean. This small island off the coast of Madagascar packs a fair punch for its size.
If you’re looking for budget places, they do exist, but not “true” budget holidays, given the 12-hour long-haul flight and overall cost of island living. If you’re looking for luxury however. That exists… in spades, so provided your wallet can cope, come and sample this hugely multi-cultural island paradise, it’s cuisine and it’s scenery while you can still make the most of everything it has to offer
