How about a trip to Malawi

It’s rare than the name of a country conjures images of a lake more than anything on terra firma, but this is probably the case with Malawi and it’s watery namesake.  It’s understandable too when you realise Lake Malawi is the size of Belgium and covers a third of the country!
Lake Malawi isn’t just a big body of useless water either, it’s fish population is incredible, beautiful, and unique to this expanse of water! Added to this, it is a great dive site, with a number of sites for water sports.
Away from the friendly and beautiful shores of the lake, this small country packs a lot into its varied terrain and landscape.  The highlands rise to more than 10,000ft in elevation with abundant forests and breathtaking views.  Wildlife is diverse and relatively easy to come across, especially primates in the lowland forests and national parks, and a whole range of rugged and dramatic scenery with  awe-inspiring cliffs, hills and farmland galore.  Understandbly, this will not be a country on many people’s radar, but perhaps one that should be!
