How about a trip to Madagascar East

Madagascar East Nov

SummaryA Brief Summary

Given this is easily Madagascar’s wettest region, it should come as no surprise that this place is covered in rainforests, large rivers, and some incredibly difficult to access places. There are some terrific beaches on the coast, some old ruins, whale watching and wildlife exploring to do, all within fairly close proximity to most of the small number of hotels here. Stray away from the trodden path (path being the operative word here) and you’ll be in need of a guide, a good vehicle (be it 4×4, boat or other), and some resilience.
You’ll find your reward though almost certainly if you’re prepared to forego your life’s luxuries and get a little bit more back to nature, because nature really is in control here, but it does it magnificently

WeatherAbout the Weather

By far Madagascar’s wettest region, which sees heavy rain in all months as a result of the constant easterly trade winds. Temperatures range from 25°c in mid winter (Jul and Aug) through to 30°c in summer (Dec to Feb). Only Sep to early Nov sees a relative drop in rainfall, although still with heavy showers, while Dec right through to Aug has very heavy showers on a near-daily basis and very high humidity too. Sunshine is generally reasonable throughout this time, except Jun and Jul which sees around 5-6 hours a day, compared with 7-8 for the rest of the year
