How about a trip to Kosovo All
A Brief Summary
Kosovo’s geography is reminiscent of a gigantic bowl. In the middle of the small southeast European nation, you have relatively flat lands, with agriculture and farming and on the outer edges, you have mountains, rugged peaks and scenery you’d associate far more with the Alps than this part of Europe.
So much so, that in the winter time, there are ski resorts here, albeit small and with largely poor infrastructure. The same region in summer is great for hiking and biking, especially given the relatively small size, you could arguably see the majority of the country on 2-wheels in a week.
Kosovo’s history is short, it only gained independence in 2008, but its legacy dates back far further and makes for some very mixed architecture and culture, particularly in Pristina, the capital and by far the largest city. A new city with people only too pleased to see foreigners strolling their streets and sampling their food. You probably won’t want to be here longer than a weekend, but you’ll have a good time somewhere very different while you are
