How about a trip to Kiribati All
A Brief Summary
You’d be forgiven for not being able to tell someone where Kiribati is.. And if you said it was in the northern / southern hemisphere you’d be right, or east or west of the international dateline, you’d be right.. This nation is made up of a large number of small atolls in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and getting here is hard. Very hard. As a result of this remoteness, this isn’t what you’d call a “thriving” tourist destination, but that being said, some of the beaches here are stunning, the warm tropical waters are great for snorkelling, the locals are incredibly friendly and crime simply doesn’t occur.. after all, commit one and you have literally nowhere to go or hide!
So if you’re prepared for a 30-hour slog to get here from Europe all in the name of tropical remoteness, come on down to Kiribati, because you’ll be greeted with open arms and looked after as best as these exceptionally isolated people can.
