How about a trip to Japan Shikoku

Japan Shikoku Jun

SummaryA Brief Summary

Not one of Japan’s must-see places according to many, but rather seen as a sleepy backwater island that you might just happen across on your travels. And while this may not be entirely unfounded, if you’re fond of natural beauty, gorgeous temples, wonderful castles, beautiful gardens and want a place where you can hike all day and enjoy lovely fresh food and sake in the evenings, then Shikoku is a great place to visit. It also has one of the nicest climates in Japan, and while humid, it seldom feels oppressively hot here, unlike other regions of this large and fantastic country

WeatherAbout the Weather

One of Japan’s wettest regions, the island of Shikoku feels the full force of the heavy rains from late Mar until early Nov. These rains peak from Jun to Sep, but bring very wet conditions during this whole period. With the exception of Jun which is particularly cloudy, the rest of the year sees around 7 hours of sunshine a day, regardless of rainfall totals. Winters, (Dec to Mar) are drier, but still see appreciable rain, although are sunny for the most part and mild, but with cold nights. Temperatures in winter average 14°c by day, with summers over 30°c. Spring and Autumn range between 20 and 28°c. Typhoons will strike this region most years, but vary significantly from year-to-year regarding direct strikes
