How about a trip to Italy East Coast
A Brief Summary
There really is no particular, certainly not geographical reason, why the eastern coast of Italy is so much less favoured than its western counterparts, when it comes to tourism. Take for example Rimini, a name that is almost certainly known to non-Italians, but few are sure why.. It is a seaside town-come-city on the Adriatic coast that has a mind-boggling number of hotels and accommodation options and is reputedly where Italians “holiday”, yet we just don’t seem to have cottoned on to it in the same way we have Naples, for example, despite it being almost certainly superior in most ways.
Travel further south you have the region of Marches with its primary city of Ancona, again, a region loved by Italians and one of the prettiest in Italy, nestled between the Apennine Mountains and Adriatic sea, with a plethora of Roman ruins, monasteries, lovely small towns and piazzas and fabulous food.
Finally the region surrounding the town of Pescara, a more arty town with great wine and great food, all in glorious surroundings.
So perhaps instead of jumping to the Neapolitan Coast, try eastern Italy for a change, you’ll be pleased you did!

About the Weather
This region of Italy sees hot, sunny summers with occasional showers and frequent coastal breezes and moderate humidity. Extremes of temperatures here are rare given the proximity to the mild Adriatic Sea. Autumns are less hot, less sunny and wetter, but still pleasant until late Oct when skies become much more overcast and storms affect the region more regularly. Nov to Feb is cool by day and quite cold at night, with fairly cloudy skies and rain every few days on average. Spring starts cool, but warms up by early May when skies clear and rains decrease. Temperatures range from 12°c in Dec to 29°c in Jul and Aug, with Spring seeing values of 18°c and Autumn averaging 22°c by day
