How about a trip to Ireland East

Ireland East Jun

SummaryA Brief Summary

The east of Ireland is where the vast majority of international visitors enter the country, through it’s capital, Dublin. Dublin is one of those cities with a reputation for fun, culture, vibrancy, nightlife and a fair slice of history. While Dublin itself is often expensive, the city, like most large capitals, can be done on a budget, so will attract everyone from the money-conscious, to those looking to splurge on the very best. Dublin really does have it all and topped off with a really nice “feel”, this is a city you really have to visit once in your life!
Away from Dublin, the east of Ireland is a mixed bag. To the south of Dublin are the Wicklow mountains, to all intents and purposes, an Irish Lake District with stunning walking and trekking and a great “back to nature” opportunity.
North of Dublin the land is mostly flat and fertile farmland, while on the coast, if the weather permits, there are some lovely stretches of beach. The best way to experience this part, and the rest of Ireland, is hiring a car and touring your way around this fabulous and charming country

WeatherAbout the Weather

Eastern Ireland’s climate is typical of NW Europe, with cool, damp and windy winters, bright and mild springs, warm and fairly sunny summers and bright but often stormy Autumns. Sunshine here peaks in May and Jun and drops down to its lowest in Dec and Jan. Temperatures average 19°c in the summer months from Jun to Aug, but can get near to 30°c on occasion. Autumn sees temperatures of around 15°c but with significantly less sunshine than summer and the constant threat of heavy rain and squally winds.
