How about a trip to India Northwest
A Brief Summary
Rajasthan is like no other state in India. It is by far the driest state in the country, containing its only desert, the Thar Desert, and it is by far India’s largest, with more than 10% of the country’s total land mass. Despite its arid conditions, it has a wealth of reasons to visit and contains some of India’s most varied scenery.
Meaning the land of Kings, it won’t take you long to understand why when you see some of the awe-inspiring forts here, palaces that would befit a monarch of today and majestic cities such as Jaipur, Udaipur and Jaisalmer. Some of India’s best known attractions lie within Rajasthan’s borders, including the blue city of Jaipur, the palace on the lake (of James Bond fame) in Udaipur, the Palace of the Winds in Jaipur and Jaisalmer Fort, a truly epic fort in a country of truly epic forts.
If all this city caper is too much for you and you want a night or 2 under the stars in a desert, on a camel, in a tent, just as you’d imagine they do rather well in Arabia (which they do!), then Rajasthan can offer you this like nowhere else in India. It really is a rich tapestry of experiences and a trip to India wouldn’t be quite the same without seeing the Land of the Kings

About the Weather
One of the driest regions in India that sees far less reliable rain than elsewhere, is also, unsurprisingly, one of the sunniest. Nov to May is almost cloudless here and totally dry, with highs ranging from 25 to 35°c, and nights around 15°c cooler. The rains here arrive fairly unreliably in Jul and clear in early Sep. They can be heavy and bring welcome precipitation, but they can also almost entirely miss this region, leaving devastating droughts. Temperatures in Apr, May and Jun here can approach 50°c, although average nearer 38°c
