How about a trip to Hungary
A Brief Summary
Unlike the majority of countries in eastern Europe, Hungary is a largely flat nation, with few elevated regions, the exception being the far north which has a more hilly and undulating landscape.
Formerly a relatively poor country, Hungary has advanced a great deal in the last couple of decades to become one of Eastern Europe’s most important countries, from it’s significant back-catalogue of cultural and artistic acclaims, to science, technology, sports and trade. Bisecting the country is one of Europe’s great rivers, the majestic Danube, along which many cruisers glide along connecting it’s capital and thriving city of Budapest, with other great cities of the region such as Vienna, Belgrade and Bratislava.
Away from the country’s watery lifeline, Hungary is primarily a rural and agricultural nation, but with an extensive history (not all of it good), dating back to Roman times, cave systems, beautiful old villages and even a growing and rather good wine region!
Coming here you definitely won’t be the first tourists here… but you might leave wondering why on earth it took you so long to get here in the first place!

About the Weather
Hungary has a typical continental climate, with cold, cloudy, snowy winters and hot, humid and sunny summers. Temperatures below 0°c are regularly seen from December to February with light snow frequent and cloudy skies. April and May warm up rapidly but with increased rainfall, leading into summers which bring warm and mostly sunny weather, but with infrequent heavy showers. Autumn starts warm and sunny, but quickly cools bringing the first snows in November before the onset of winter. Temperatures during summer regularly reach 35°c during heatwaves. Spring and Autumn average 16-18°c but range from 10-22°c in both seasons.
