How about a trip to Greece North

Northern regions of Greece see quite an extreme variant of the Mediterranean climate. Winters are cool and often fairly overcast with rain on about 50% of days. Winter storms can bring occasional snows to the region, and when these arrive they can be very heavy. Spring is bright but turns increasingly sunny by late Apr and May, as well as warming considerably to 24°c. Highs above 30°c are seen a few times during this period. Summers are hot, with very hot weather (>40°c) quite common, with abundant sunshine and only passing showers. Bush / forest fires do occur here during the hottest periods once or twice a year, however they are often relatively small. Autumn starts hot and sunny, but becomes increasingly cooler and more showery. Winds are generally quite strong year-round from the North
