How about a trip to Greece Ionian Islands
A Brief Summary
Western Greece comprises essentially the Ionian islands on the western coast of the country, from popular and well-trodden Corfu in the north, to Zante (Zakynthos) in the south… that of the “shipwreck-in-the bay-with-insanely-clear-blue-water” fame! While both of these are moderate sized islands which are very well catered to tourists from small sleepy B&Bs to substantial 5* hotels, the smaller and lesser-known islands of Kefalonia and Lefkada are fast becoming popularised for being everything their better known counterparts are, but with far fewer people experiencing them.

About the Weather
Hot, dry, sunny summers are the norm across the islands of the eastern reaches of Greece, with temperatures above 30°c common from mid-Jun to early Sep. Rainfall in these months is rare. Autumns are mostly dry and bright, although after mid-Oct heavy showers and storms can develop, but skies remain fairly clear and temperatures average 20°c in Oct and 15°c in Nov. Winters are cooler and wetter than elsewhere in Greece and storms pass through once or twice a month with strong, sometimes damaging winds. Spring is bright and increasingly dry and warm as you head into summer, although seldom very hot due to the breezes that develop and continue through the summer months.
