How about a trip to Greece Central
A Brief Summary
Geographically, Greece is a difficult country to “box up”, but the central region of Greece is ultimately centred around it’s capital, largest city and core of the vast majority of things within Greece; Athens.
To say there is a bit of history in Athens is like saying there’s a bit of ice in Greenland, this city can freely date its origins back farther than most cities in the world and in a bygone era was one of the most important places on earth for academics, scholars, artisans and philosophers and widely regarded as the birthplace of democracy and cradle of western civilisation.
While it’s current status is less grand, it is still a significant city in Europe and one that should not be overlooked if you’re in this region, be it as a stopping off point, or a destination in its own right.

About the Weather
Frequently Europe’s hottest capital city, Athens has a true Mediterranean climate, with cool to mild, but wet winter and hot, dry and very sunny summers. Winters in Athens often feel colder that the thermometer readings when winds descend from the north adding significant windchill bringing rare, but heavy snowfall to the city. Aside from these unusual events, winters are cool and showery, but fairly bright, if not sunny. Spring (March to May) quickly warms up, becoming noticeably sunnier and drier in the process with May warmer and sunnier than most northern European cities during mid-summer. June to September is hot, almost totally dry and sunny. Very occasionally severe summer storms affect the region, bringing strong winds and large hail, but these are unusual. Summers also see breezes from the north to cool the heat, but these can subside during fierce heatwaves with temperatures exceeding 45°c and the threat of forest fires. Autumns are warm and bright, but increasingly wet with thunderstorms infrequent.
