How about a trip to Germany North

Northern Germany is often only frequented by people travelling to, or from, Denmark on their tours of northern Europe. This is a shame, because it’s a very charming and very different feel to the rest of the country. Not only is it the only part of Germany with a coastline, and therefore beaches (some of which really do belong in much more tropical settings with their soft white sand!), but it is geographically less challenging, with gently undulating hills, wide rivers, lakes and some really picturesque little villages. All making it feel more Scandinavian or northern European than further south. So if you’re looking for a beach holiday with a difference and a chance to do some roaming while you’re at it, this is a very different, but very pleasant place to try
