How about a trip to France Central Region and wine country

The region of France containing the famous Loire Valley, a region synonymous with some of the most famous wines in the world, produced on a global scale in the endless vineyards and farms here. Every now and again you’ll find some wonderfully palatial chateaux (no doubt purchased through the sale of colossal quantities of vino), many of which can be visited to see just how the other half have lived in France for hundreds of years.
If you’re a keen cyclist then this region of France is perhaps the ideal place to head with mile-after-mile of cycle paths, many of which pass through small towns with delightful cafes and restaurants and wineries. What a shame eh.
Towns in the area include Bourges, Orleans, Poitiers, Limoges and Dijon and all offer something a little different in their appeal, appearance and atmosphere. Spending a couple of weeks here, flitting from place to place and taking life a little slower, especially during the spring or summer, really is a delightful way to get away from the mundane lives we all live back home
