How about a trip to Falkland Islands All
A Brief Summary
When a location’s name is synonymous with a war, it is a sad indictment of that location’s history and likely it’s near term future too. One such place are the Falkland Islands, which, at the time of writing, rightly or wrongly, are a British Overseas Territory located of the east coast of Argentina. Despite the “war” only being 2 months long and more than 40 years ago, it is still a highly fractious and contentious issue among Argentine’s primarily, but some British too. Politics aside, the islands are rugged, mountainous, windswept, cold and cloudy and a much more becoming environment for a penguin or seal than most people. However, 4,000 people call this place home and there is a real sense of community among the residents here, many of whom live in the colourful little fishing town of Stanley. So if you’re down here, in the far south of South America and fancy something different for a few days, perhaps the Falklands are just the tonic you need
