How about a trip to Denmark

Denmark Jan

SummaryA Brief Summary

One of the worlds most modern, liveable and friendly nations, Denmark is a small country sandwiched between the northern nations of Norway and Sweden and its southern neighbour, Germany. For the most part, Denmark is exceptionally flat, with only small areas being elevated and none more than 500ft above sea level. The country has a total of more than 1,400 islands making up its total land mass equivalent to that of Estonia, but a fairly large % of this is lakes, inlets, waterways or other uninhabitable surfaces. Travel here can be expensive but is very reliable and there is nowhere which is particularly difficult to reach in a relatively short period of time, including neighbouring countries. The country’s capital, Copenhagen, is one of the most liveable cities in the world and along with the rest of the country scores very highly in almost every metric for standards of living. If your idea of a vacation is to a small, clean, safe and pretty country, with few hassles and you’re prepared to pay a little more for a drink and a meal than you might at home, but in wonderful surroundings… Denmark is well worth a thought

WeatherAbout the Weather

Cool, southern Scandinavian winters, with chilly days and cold nights are seen across Denmark from Nov to Mar. Snowfall is common, but often light with heavy snow unusual. Sunshine is limited to 1-2 hours a day throughout winter. Occasionally Atlantic storms do bring heavy rain and strong winds, but these often pass to the north. Spring is mild and relatively dry with no regular heavy rain, and a lot brighter than winter. Summers are fairly sunny and warm, occasionally hot, with infrequent showers or longer spells of rain. This is the wettest, but sunniest time of year in Denmark. Autumns start mild and bright but quickly become cool and overcast. Maximum temperatures in summer average 23°c, but 30°c is seen on a number of occasions each year. Temperatures below 0°c are common in winter, especially at night
