How about a trip to Croatia Far South

Croatia Far South Feb

SummaryA Brief Summary

The southern regions of Croatia are all sandwiched into a small, narrow strip of rocky and mountainous land between Serbia and the Adriatic Sea. The region also contains a number of islands, included popular resorts like Hvar and Brac and the world famous and beautiful cities of Dubrovnik and Split. The last 20 years has seen this area of Croatia surge to the top of many people’s destination of choice, be it for activity, city sightseeing, relaxation, or honeymooning, and it’s very easy to see why. It’s a beautiful coastline, that while rugged retains a real sense of charm and integrity with its place in the world and while heavily influenced by the booming tourist trade, visually much of it hasn’t changed a great deal for many, many years… and more’s the better for it

WeatherAbout the Weather

The southern coastal region of Croatia has a typical Mediterranean climate, but with it’s proximity to the Adriatic a humid and often breezy one. Winters here from Nov to Mar are quite mild and bright, with temperatures averaging 12°c by day. Rainfall is moderate throughout the year, but at its peak in early winter, however snow is very rare. Spring sees warmer and sunnier weather but with ongoing showers. Sunshine levels average 8-9 hours a day by May. Summer months of Jun – Aug are hot, drier (although not totally dry as passing showers and occasional squally rain does affect this region from time to time) and very sunny, with 11-12 hours of sunshine a day. Temperatures seldom get excessively hot due to the coastal influence. Autumn is warm and sunny and by Oct sees the return of reliable rainfall and occasional storms which can be very windy.
