How about a trip to Comoros

Comoros Jan

SummaryA Brief Summary

The Comoros Islands straddle the midpoint of the Mozambique channel, between northern Madagascar and Mozambique in southeast Africa. They are a tropical group of essentially 3 small volcanic islands, which given their geological state, doesn’t come as a surprise that the majority of the land here is hilly and rocky, but with considerable vegetation. The coastal regions however have a number of large, white sand beaches and while tourism here is nowhere near as advanced or well-known as nearby Mauritius or the Seychelles, a number of good hotels dot the beaches and provide all you’d ever need for a relaxing break in the sun

WeatherAbout the Weather

The Comoros Islands, sandwiched between Madagascar and the Mozambique coast, exhibit a tropical climate, with no dry month throughout the year. It is consistently sunny year-round, with only the period Dec – Feb seeing fewer hours of sunshine per day, during the wettest months of the year. The driest, sunniest and coolest weather is from May to Nov, but temperatures are still in the high 20°c’s by day and about 18-20°c at night. It is also often quite windy throughout the year, predominantly during the drier months.
