How about a trip to China Southeast Coast
A Brief Summary
Hong Kong may be small (very small on Chinese scale) but its history, symbolism and importance, both in China and globally, is on a par with London, New York or Paris. Formerly a British colony, this small special administrative region of China, comprised of Hong Kong Island, Lantau Island, the New Territories and a whole rash of much smaller, less inhabited islands. The New Territories and their border with Shenzhen, are for the most part hilly, rugged and densely forested, as is much of Lantau Island to the west. The southern portion of Hong Kong mainland and HK Island are densely populated and contain some of the busiest districts anywhere in the world, such as Mong Kok. HK is a financial powerhouse on a global scale, but is also a huge cultural, retail, film and tourist destination and somewhere that has fast become a must-see place on any tour of south east Asia. Away from Hong Kong itself, you’re never far from other giant cities such as Guangzhou, Dongguan or the former Portuguese colony of Macau and it’s battle with Las Vegas to be the world’s number one gambling mecca! While scenically not as impressive as other breath-taking parts of China, this region has a real buzz about it and is never, ever quiet, so if you’re in the frame of mind for a busy vacation, in bustling cities, mixing the new and old, head to south eastern China!

About the Weather
Hong Kong’s climate is heavily determined by its position on the South China Sea and indicative of this region. High humidity and warm or hot temperatures dominate the region’s weather year-round. November to February is mostly dry and very mild, but becomes increasingly cloudy as you reach late February and early March, the most overcast time of year. Temperatures average 20°c during this period, with humidity around 75% and light showers. April to October sees the rainy season and even higher humidity, often exceeding 90%, with temperatures regularly above 30°c making the weather feel particularly oppressive. Sunshine peaks during July but the season from July to October is relatively sunny, despite the heavy rains. Major typhoons aren’t common, but smaller storms frequently pass nearby, leading to rough seas, strong winds and torrential rains.
