How about a trip to Cape Verde Islands
A Brief Summary
The Cape Verde Islands are a collection of 10 volcanic islands off the west coast of Africa, specifically Senegal. Technically an African country, Cape Verde has the majority of its history routed in Portuguese and hence this is the basis of the dialect spoken here today. The islands themselves are each quite small in their own right, but have a considerable variety in terms of their geography. While some are rugged and a great place for donning your walking boots, others are much better suited to flipflops and beachwear. The land here is spartan when it comes to vegetation as rainfall is scant, so away from the beaches, a rocky and craggy land awaits with only scrub-like bushes and trees and the occasional palm tree along the beaches. The primary reason for tourists now flocking to these islands in their droves however are the beaches and crystal clear waters. As stated, the infrastructure is far behind that of say, the Canary Islands, but they’re catching up, fast! The reliably sunny climate here, particularly in the European winter months will continue to be a huge draw for those not seeking unbridled luxury, but just some peace, quiet and tranquility!

About the Weather
Very dry, very sunny and hot weather is seen in each month in Cape Verde. A near-desert climate sees the only appreciable rain coming in Sep, during the formation of low pressure systems off the coast of Africa that go on to form hurricanes across the Caribbean a few days later. Sunshine levels are high throughout the year, peaking in Apr – Jun, but never dropping much below 8hrs a day. Temperatures are never very hot given the islands oceanic location and average 30°c throughout the year, with nights just above 21°c.
