How about a trip to Bulgaria East

Bulgaria’s Black Sea coastline is the country’s playground for its wealthier residents and those looking for a slightly different beach holiday, with Varna being the resort of choice for many.  It’s long sandy beaches and warm and sunny summer weather see tourists flock here in their thousands and for good reason.  The Black Sea resort is home to a large number of hotels, many of them of a decent standard you might not ordinarily expect from this region and would challenge most found elsewhere in the Med, and at a far better price!  Away from the soft sands you’ll find plenty of retail therapy outlets, if that’s your thing, or for the historians amongst you, this is the sight of the worlds oldest known gold discovery and can therefore attest to a very long and rich history which is scattered throughout the rest of the hilly and forested region.
