The eastern most region of Brazil is a diverse collection of States, with all of them having a geography comprising large river systems, high elevation plateaus and undulating hills covered with shrubs and savannah-type vegetation. The beaches to the far east and the Atlantic coast are the area’s main attraction, being wide, long and sandy, with the seas they fall into remarkably being some of the cleanest and clearest in the world. The large cities here such as Recife, Natal, Salvador and Fortaleza have huge high rises along the entire stretch of coastline, much like a Manhattan skyline overlooking a golden-sand beach. The areas are heavily urbanised so there is no shortage of accommodation, amenities or things to see and do here
