How about a trip to Botswana Southern Desert
A Brief Summary
Botswana’s capital, Gaborone, is located in the southeast of the country and by far it’s largest city, with around 15% of the nations people. It is, like the rest of the country, a largely flat region, but, unlike the rest of the country, does have access to arable and fertile land, albeit far from lush and verdant. The majority of the land around Gaborone is savannah, with hardy shrubs, trees and bushes growing. The city itself is Botswana’s capital in every sense of the word and its hub for its finance, economy, culture, sport and music. The rest of the south of Botswana is Kalahari desert and almost entirely bone-dry, hot, sunny and a place that even local wildlife having lived here for millennia, find it exceptionally difficult to source fresh water in among the dunes and rocky hills
