Free from the threat of cyclones, without the heat or high humidity of summer, you’ll find warm sunny days and mild nights, so perhaps you’d like to spend September in Mauritius. Lazing by the Indian Ocean with a cocktail or two, or on a Catamaran, dolphin-watching, or maybe getting a little more adventurous and heading inland for some trekking, quad biking or cycling in the hilly interior, before enjoying some fantastic local food in the evening

Very warm, dry and sunny from May to Oct, with only occasional rain, lower humidity and easterly breezes and temperatures of around 26°c by day and 22°c at night. From Nov – Apr the weather is much more humid, hotter and considerably wetter, but with long sunny periods between the heavy, thundery showers. Temperatures are over 30°c by day and mid to high 20’s at night. Cyclones do affect the island from time to time, but direct hits are rare and more often days prior to the storm will see very heavy rain and choppy seas.
