How about a trip to The Galapagos, Ecuador

The Galapagos, Ecuador

SummaryA Brief Summary

A truly unique world in just about every way imaginable. Practically the only place left on Earth where the wildlife has no fear of mankind, going about their day while you take photo’s and memories you simply cannot get anywhere else. Preserved as a collection of Volcanic islands, with wildlife unique to them due to their geographically isolated location and with tourist numbers dutifully limited, these amazing islands should hopefully stay a pristine wilderness for decades if not centuries, to come.

WeatherAbout the Weather

A true equatorial location doesn’t provide a typical equatorial climate here due to the remoteness of the islands and the cold humbolt current. Temperatures here are often 3-5°c colder than one might expect at this latitude and the islands see far less rain than elsewhere at similar latitudes, again, resultant of the cold current making evapotranspiration more difficult to achieve. Day time temperatures range from 30°c in Feb to 25°c in Aug and Sep, with nights 7-12°c cooler. Rainfalls peak in the warmer months at the start of the calendar year from Jan to Apr, dropping significantly from May to Dec, with only showers during this time. Sunshine aounts however are at their highest during the rainy season, when winds are also strongest. Humidity is very high all year.
