How about a trip to Costa Rica East Coast
A Brief Summary
Eastern Costa Rica is often cited as the poor cousin of the Pacific coast. It’s considered more wild (true), wetter (true), fewer wonderful beaches (true) and less scenic (beauty is in the eye o… (probably true))… but, what this region lacks in terms of golden sands and sunny day, it makes up for in mystic, wonder and adventure. The towns / resorts on the Caribbean coast are smaller, more remote and less accessible than those on the west coast, but the vibe and atmosphere here feels much more Caribbean than it does central American, but this coast offers opportunities to see turtles egg laying on the beaches, or trek almost unchartered canals, backwaters or river systems that the west coast can only long-for!
