Uzbekistan has a climate of hot, very sunny summers with relatively low humidity and very little rain, and cold, wet or snowy winters. Summers can exceed 40°c and do so frequently, seeing more than 12 hours sunshine a day from Jun to Aug and 10 hours a day in May and Sep. Autumn is warm until Nov with sunshine levels dropping to 5 hours a day by then and temperatures of 15°c. This drops further into winter where days average 8°c and nights are below 0°c, with lows below -15°c common. Spring is bright and cool in Mar, and warm and quite sunny in Apr. Winter sees the vast majority of the regions precipitation with showers of rain or snow from Oct to Apr
