How about a trip to St. Vincent and the Grenadines
A Brief Summary
As the name might hint at, St Vincent and the Grenadines are one large island (St Vincent) and a group of much smaller islands (The Grenadines), located in the middle of the Windward Islands of the Caribbean. Not long ago, these islands were largely unknown to those not “in the know” and were a genuine Robinson Crusoe experience for those that found themselves here (somehow!). Now, this is changing and changing fast! A number of global airlines now fly here and this is very quickly becoming THE place in the Caribbean to go, regardless of whether you’ve “done” Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua etc.
The relative newness means the islands aren’t quite as fully developed as elsewhere in this tourist paradise region, but this isn’t to say they’re not lavish, because they really can be, although it’s more locally lavish, with the residential parts more reminiscent of the Caribbean 20 or so years ago.
The islands are a mecca for those on sailing holidays, looking for great dive locations, or who want a luxury hotel set on a blissfully quiet beach with only the occasional distant jet ski and sound of lapping tranquil waters for company. That and perhaps the odd slurp of your sumptuous cocktail, which you’re polishing off before you re-order!
These islands are not for those looking for a bustling nightlife or big towns to stroll around at 2am looking for a bar which is serving large portions of local rum, they’re much, much more refined than that!

About the Weather
Hot and humid year-round with a drier season from Feb – Apr, although this time still sees considerable rainfall. Sunshine levels remain consistently at 7-8 hours a day for most of the year, away from the slightly less sunny winter period of Nov – Jan. The islands can be affected by hurricanes at any time from May – Nov with peak season from Jul – Oct, but the islands usually tend to miss a direct hit, with only increased rainfall and reduced sunshine resulting from nearby storms.
