How about a trip to San Marino
A Brief Summary
Do not go to San Marino if you’re looking for a week of partying, boozing and burning the candle at both ends. You’ll be sorely disappointed. This is one of the worlds smallest countries and is akin to the very smallest island nations you’ll find in the South Pacific, or equivalent to small parts of large cities. For example, you could comfortably fit 10 San Marino’s inside the M25! What it does have is history and culture and is essentially comprised of a collection of closely-knit buildings and a fort, lying atop a lofty mountain top with superb views of the countryside below. For a chance to add another country to your list, and one which is very easily accessible from anywhere in eastern Italy, it would be a shame not to “pop in” to San Marino if you’re in the area

About the Weather
A warm and humid climate, with mostly Mediterranean attributes. Winters are cooler and snowier than most Mediterranean areas, but summers are hot and mostly sunny, but with thunderstorms. Spring and autumn are warm and showery. Storms and strong winds are quite common in the Adriatic Sea and reduce the severity of heat in San Marino for much of the year, however hot spells do occur with temperatures approaching 40°c on occasion
