How about a trip to Reunion
A Brief Summary
If you want to take the worlds longest internal flight, start in Paris and fly to Reunion. Yes, it is officially an internal flight within France, despite travelling over multiple countries and continents and even traversing hemispheres. This is a tropical volcanic island in the south Indian Ocean, only a short flight from Mauritius and one which contains everything from jagged, mountainous peaks and waterfalls, to rocky coves, palm-fringed sandy beaches, and quirky little towns and villages, including the capital, Saint Denis. Yes, it is a long way to go, but if you want a tropical island holiday that offers something like very few others, where you can exhaust yourself climbing an active volcano one day, and lounge on a beach the next, then consider the French island of Reunion!

About the Weather
Warm and humid year-round, with a wetter and slightly less sunny climate than nearby Mauritius. Sunshine is consistent averaging 7hrs a day throughout the year. The driest time of year is from Jun to Dec, with peak rains falling from Jan to Apr. Cyclones can affect the island during this time and due to the mountainous terrain of the island, rainfall totals can be exceptional. Reunion holds multiple world records for rainfall totals across 24, 48 and 72 hour periods. Temperatures above 33°c and below 16° are very unusual, giving a reliably warm climate all year.
