November to February is mostly dry and the sunniest time of year in Lagos and the south of the country, but sunshine amounts similar to London or Manchester in September, but temperatures well above 30°c. The rains begin in April and peak in June, with very heavy showers every other day on average. Sunshine levels drop to less than 4 hours a day during this time and humidity increases to about 80%, while temperatures drop slightly to just below 30°c. Nights remain warm all year.
