How about a trip to Maldives

Straddling the equator, to the southwest of India, lie just over 1,100 tiny, flat specs of glistening white sand islands, fringed with palm trees, set amid a backdrop of shallow turquoise lagoons. These are the Maldives. This is pretty much as close to paradise as it gets for most people, and it’s easy to see why.  There are no rivers, one fresh water lake and the highest point of any land is barely 6m above sea level (yes, just 6m… with most of the land less than 1.5m (5ft) above sea level).
If you’re looking for a vacation where your only packing requirements are flip flops, suncream, a hat, sunnies, swimwear and a few things to don for the evening dinner, then this is your place!  If you’d also like to see some of the best coral reefs in the world, jet ski, waterski, snorkel, play tennis, or read a number of books as the world goes by at a sedate pace, this country has you covered like no other!
If you’re on a really tight budget, you’ll struggle here.  A moderate budget will see you in a nice hotel, with friendly staff and plenty of activities.  A big budget will get you your own private water bungalow or villa, every luxury you could want for on tap, all top-and-tailed with some exceptional cuisine and world class liquor.
The only note of seriousness is that with climate change and rising sea levels, this entire nation is genuinely at risk of disappearing in the next half century.. an entire country! Just vanishing! You’d better hurry…
