Turkmenistan’s climate is one consisting of hot or very hot summers, cool winters, little rain and a very sunny summer. Temperatures from Dec to Feb average 10°c by day and 0°c by night, but incursions of very cold air do occur and skies are fairly overcast, with light and patchy rain. Mar is mild, with slightly more sunshine, but Apr and May readily become very warm or hot with sunny skies and much less chance of rain, with highs approaching 30°c and extremes above 40°c by May. Jun to Aug averages 38°c, but 45°c is not uncommon under very clear, very sunny skies and virtually no rain, with low humidity. Sep is hot, sunny and dry, cooling to a very warm, dry and bright Oct, and a mild, fairly overcast and more changeable Nov with higher humidity accompanying the greater chance of rain
