How about a trip to Egypt Sinai
A Brief Summary
The Sinai Peninsula is a V-shaped wedge of rocky, sandy, mountainous land that lies between northern Egypt and Jordan and south of Israel. To the north of the peninsula you will find.. Not a lot. It is sparse, open, barren desert with few roads, very few people and little to entice you in. To the west you have the Suez Canal, one of a handful of strategically critical shipping lanes across the world. To the south you have rugged mountains, occasionally seeing snow for a day or so in the winter, a considerable degree of ancient biblical history (think Moses and the parting of the Red Sea) and resorts. It is these resorts however that draw the tourists in, in their droves! Often high-end and beautifully ornate with several huge pools, nearly every one of them facing one of the warmest bodies of water on earth, the Red Sea, all with access to snorkelling and scuba diving in one of the worlds premier diving locations. Conditions here are nearly perfect year-round with superb visibility, warm water and incredibly easy access. Away from the hotel, desert excursions are on offer and available to book locally regardless of your chosen accommodation. The remainder of the Red Sea coast from Hurghada to Marsa Alam consists of long stretches of pristine desert with rocky outcrops. Aside from key towns, there is very little further down the coast, but the diving / snorkelling remains some of the worlds best!

About the Weather
This coastal region of Egypt is one of the sunniest and driest places on earth. All months see blue skies and almost constant sunshine, with May to Aug absolutely cloudless. Temperatures are very warm in winter averaging 22°c, with hot weather spring (34°c) to very hot in summer, with highs often well over 40°c. Autumn is only slightly cooler than summer. Rain here is almost unheard of except for very light, occasional passing showers in the middle of winter, although these seldom last more than an hour or so and occur perhaps once or twice a year
